Sexy Phone

August 27th, 2008

You can bet when this phone from Nokia comes on the market, I will be the first in line, drooling over its wonderous coolness. The only thing that would stop me from purchasing it could be the price, which I’m guessing will be hefty.

Doesn’t it remind you of Violet’s credit card bracelet in Ultraviolet?

Why I love Google Analytics

Because I was able to see that someone from Turkey visited my site today. That is cool.

Coding Question

August 26th, 2008

Since there is a significant lack of decent content here lately, I thought I’d pose a question.

Any idea how this FSBO site gets those nifty in-page pop-up windows? I want them. I want them bad.

And I’m not even totally incompetant when it comes to coding. I took a peek at the source for the page, but wasn’t able to discover what site the website author may have gotten the code snippet for that neat effect. I’m pretty sure it’s probably something I can get free online, but I’m not even sure where to start looking.

So any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I don’t surf YouTube for entertainment

But I do subscribe to the Fail Blog for little gems like this. It took me a bit to figure out what happened to that car…bet it took him a little bit yet.

This is (one of) my guilty online pleasure(s). That, and I Can Has Cheezeburger. Juvinile? Yes. Hilarious? Abso-freakin-lutely.

For my intellectual funnies, I visit The Daily WTF, which rates only slightly above Computer Stupidities.

The most hilarous site ever if you have ever had the priviledge of spending any amount of time in a IRC or ICQ chat room is by far Bash.org (which actually seems to be down right now, which is absolutely horrible). I don’t bookmark this site, because it is far more hilarious to visit it once every three months or so, then read through the top 200 quotes. I need adult diapers every time I read this stuff, I laugh so hard!

What I’m into this week

August 20th, 2008

Wide Open Wallet is my favorite site online right now to read, followed closely by Remodeling This Life and On Simplicity. I would like to absorb their skills by osmosis, but I know it’s not that easy. I keep telling myself that “when we’ve got our own household, then I’ll start doing this stuff,” which really is just me trying to justify my lazyness. Hopefully all the motivation I’m getting will start kicking my ass pretty soon.
